The text-based adventure game for DAOs is a round-based game where your character participates by posting their in-game action daily to a thread at X (formerly known as Twitter.)
The goal of the game is for the DAOs/characters to discover the 12 Sun Glyphs before the rogue AI known as SpectroVortex succeeds in casting eternal darkness upon the world.
SpectroVortex has released energy-leeching entities dubbed “Eclipse Shadows.” These shadow entities are depleting the city of its solar energy, bringing the threat of perpetual darkness and disorder to Verde-Equilibrium.
Players are called upon to traverse through lush rooftop sanctuaries, thriving vertical agriculture zones, vibrant city greens, and complex solar power matrices. They must decipher intricate solar-based puzzles, interact with intelligent AI, and eliminate the Eclipse Shadows to recover the Sun Glyphs and return the city to its balanced brilliance.
The World of the Verde-Equilibrium Habitat
The 12 Sun Glyphs have been spread throughout 12 distinct locations within the Verde-Equilibrium Habitat.
The characters must travel across these locations to discover the glyphs before it is too late. Will they spread out and try to cover more areas at once, or will they band together to attempt to unite their forces in the search of the glyphs?
Eco-Cities:
- Verde-Equilibrium: A radiant beacon of sustainability, Verde-Equilibrium harmoniously balances nature with technological marvels. Lush rooftop gardens merge with solar-infused edifices, while waterways cleanse and revitalize the urban landscape. As the capital, its vibrant heart pulsates with both tradition and innovation, embodying the epitome of a solarpunk utopia.
- Solaris Spire: A towering city of glass and green, where vertical farms rise amidst skyscrapers. Every building is covered in a sheen of solar panels, capturing the sun’s energy.
- Windhaven Enclave: Built on a vast plateau, Windhaven utilizes countless wind turbines, integrating them seamlessly into its urban design. Here, artistry meets functionality.
- Lunar Lumina: A city that thrives in the evening glow, taking advantage of the moon’s reflective solar energy. Illuminated pathways create a mesmerizing luminescent tapestry by night.
Desert Oases:
- Mirage Metropolis: An oasis city with innovative water conservation systems. Its shimmering blue canals contrast against golden sands, with solar harvesters turning desert sun into energy.
- Sable Springs: A sandstone city surrounded by deep wells and lush palm groves. Unique passive cooling designs protect it from the desert’s harsh heat.
Mountain Communities:
- Terran Terraces: A community carved into mighty mountain ranges, with terraced farms and intricate transport systems that wind up and down its slopes. The air here is crisp, and the views, unparalleled.
Island Communities:
- Tidal Trinity: Three interconnected islands harnessing tidal and solar energy. Each island preserves its unique flora and fauna, becoming a haven for biodiversity.
Polar Habitats:
- Aurora Arcanum: A habitat surrounded by the mystical auroras. Constructed with materials to minimize heat loss, it has tech to manage and utilize melting ice for both energy and sustenance.
Floating Cities:
- Nebula Nexus: A sprawling city upon the waves, Nebula Nexus is designed to rise and fall with the tides. It’s a marvel of buoyant architecture, with marine farms dotting its surroundings.
Rainforests:
- Verde Canopy Kingdom: High above the forest floor, interconnected treehouses and canopy walkways span the treetops. Bioluminescent paths guide travelers through the verdant labyrinth.
- Lustrous Liana Lands: A dense rainforest where the ground and the trees intertwine in harmonious coexistence. Spiraling walkways wrap around ancient trees, and the sounds of nature reverberate in melodious harmony.
